Security teams use it to create structured tickets for each finding that requires action, assign ownership to specific teams or individuals, set deadlines, and track progress through defined workflow states. Jira's integration capabilities allow SOAR platforms and SIEM tools to create tickets automatically when certain conditions are met, and to update ticket status as response actions are completed. This bidirectional sync means that the security operations team's work is visible to the broader organization through the same tooling already used by engineering and IT.
