CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team)

CSIRTs are responsible for triaging and investigating reported incidents, coordinating with affected teams, and managing communications during a breach. They are often the escalation point for complex or high-severity incidents that exceed the SOC's initial response capacity. The terms CSIRT and CERT are frequently used interchangeably, though CSIRT more commonly refers to internal organizational teams.
